幾年前就看過這個Flash短片,但是不知道為甚麼這兩個禮拜突然又想起了它,而且stuck在頭裡揮之不去,很煩。可能是因為我們的小軒軒()的生日讓我想到了任賢齊的小萱萱吧。

Apple did it again! It seems every product they make is packed with “WOW” factors. I upgraded to the latest 3.0 firmware as it was released today, the downloading, backup and upgrading took awhile, but the end result was well worth the wait, in fact, my feels like a brand new phone!

One of the coolest new 3.0 feature by far is the “Find My ”. For subscribers, if you ever miss place your , you can use the web interface to see where you left it (cell tower triangulation?) and send a message and alarm to the phone so whoever pick it up can contact you… At the worst case, you can remotely wipe out all the data! That’s badass!

Well, I did a test, the triangulation took a minute or two, and the result was surprisingly accurate! My phone displayed the message and alarm I sent almost instantaneously. I didn’t have the guts to remote wipe my data, I will just take Apple’s words for it, I am sure it works. ;-)

It is still a bit chilly but Spring is definitely here, how do I know? Well, people around me are all watery-eyed, sneezing and nose running, symptoms of spring…

16 of us went out to the Joseph D. Grant park last weekend for some healthy group activity, which involved and plenty of volleyball. Victor finally sent me the photos from the event, so here they are!

We all had a good time, and this weekend we are going hiking. Well, I will have to see if I can go or not, since my skin rash (possibility due to encountering poison oak during last weekend’s ) is still flaring up. Hope I can go…

Most of the video is in Korean, which I don’t understand a thing, but it didn’t matter, your eyes can do all the listening. There is a short interview of Jessica in the middle and towards the end.

As a fan, the worst part of every morning is having to dump out the staled from the day before, wash the pot, replace the filter and wait for 10 minutes before taking a sip. Then when you go for the 2nd cup later, the pot you just made is already cold, or worse, it is bitter from being left on the warmer plate for too long; what a waste!!

That routine is history now, yeeaaa! I got a Breville Single Cup Brewer for the office, which I can choose from over 150 variety of /cocoa/tea K-Cups (the single disposable filtered cups). Pop it in the Breville, and a minute later, volia! Instant gratification! Love it! Love it!

You might ask, isn’t it more expensive to brew this way? Well, as it turns out, it is actually cheaper. Each is about $0.42, compare to a Starbucks at $1.98 (grande ), and roughly $1 for the old 10-cup brewer. On top of being thrifty, it is one pretty piece of machinery too!

My favorite thing in the office!

I’ve always wondered about this myself. Now I know

  • The Silent generation, people born before 1946.
  • The Baby Boomers, people born between 1946 and 1959.
  • Generation X , people born between 1960 and 1979.
  • , people born between 1980 and 1995.

Why do we call the last one ? I did not know, but a caricaturist explains it eloquently below…Learn something new!

Now I know why it is called Gen-Y!

My .Mac account went offline Wed afternoon while it was being upgraded to MobileMe. It is pretty cool tho…

is officially the weekend home for the group of us here in Shanghai. is probably as successful as any club ever wish to be. It commands premium price and nights after nights of packed house. Backed by celebrity investor and experienced shares holding management staff, enjoys the tier one club status status, keeping its position amongst the countless formidable competitors. It is the place to be for the more financially stable hip partygoers here in Shanghai. It is not unusual to see famous models, professional athletes, actors/actresses, TV hostess, flight attendants, and deep pocket business men there, as the matter of fact, those are the people we party with on regular basis.

The price is not cheap at , a bottle of Greygoose can set you back 800RMB (~$120), with the minimum spending requirement for a reserved table starts at 3000RMB, this price easily double the fee at other establishments. However, the premium buys you a different type of crowd, mostly well educated, well doing individuals, who often have foreign backgrounds or understands the western culture, and can speaks fluent or passable conversational English. In comparison, the more “local” pubs and clubs are more tailored for the local audience, usually very young aged, they’d plays the Chinese styled hip-pop/techno music, and often time some retarded MC would be on the mic yelling senseless english phrases all night long in attempt to pump up the atmosphere; oh yeah, there are those really “local” clubs that features bouncing floors, you will be involuntarily hopping up and down as the springs underneath the floor forces you to “”, while it is a great assistant for those who have no rhythm, it is very annoying to me as I can’t even stand still on those things.

As a second home, we’d often running into other “distant family members” here, we would spend some time at our table, then hop over to other tables to socialize with friends in other groups. I swear there are people here I see everytime I come, it is almost like a high school Homecoming Ball.

So, on the weekends, there is always someone in our group sending out SMS message informing the rest the reserved table number at . While it is sickening to go to the same place night after night, but somehow, the feeling of second home always bring us back, time after time.
