幾年前就看過這個Flash短片，但是不知道為甚麼這兩個禮拜突然又想起了它，而且stuck在頭裡揮之不去，很煩。可能是因為我們的小軒軒（Nancy）的生日讓我想到了任賢齊的小萱萱吧。

Yup, it was my birthday yesterday 4/5, 32nd to be exact. I had asked Vivian, Nancy and the rest of my closest friends to skip any celebration they had in mind for me. After 31 birthdays, I just don’t see why birthdays are anything worthy of a celebration, it has slowly become a day to be dread about instead. 
Nah, I am half joking, no one likes to see wrinkles creep up on their face, but getting old is not entirely bad. The experience and wisdom (humm… I hope I am gaining wisdom) only comes with age, and personal and professional advancement require time as well. I am definitely enjoying the ride so far, looking forward to every new day.
It is very touching to see all the birthday greetings I received from friends today, I feel lucky and blessed. Thank you guys for thinking of me and taking the time to wish me a happy birthday, that’s the best part of any birthday…

Been super busy at work lately, nothing new there. Aside from the countless number of emails, meetings, classes and fire fightings, I also made a trip to Atlanta, a trip to Cashiers North Carolina and a trip to Boston, all since my last blog entry. Frequently, in the midst of going thru airport security or rushing to the gate, I’d encounter events and things that really amused me — an obese guy accidentally let out a fart as he bends over to pick up his bags, or some hot chick in Orange county getting booty searched by the airport security… at moment like this, I’d always hide my smirk and make a mental note to remember to write about it in my blog, but, the reality is, I seldom do.
My actions can never catch up to my intentions.
To end this pointless blah-blah, here are some pictures I took with my new, badass Leica!! Loving it! Thanks to my baby Viv for the wonderful birthday gift! Xoxoxox Muuu-u-a-aaaah!

Seconds before midnight, I frantically told Vivian to ask me about my age:
Jiaying: “Quick!! Ask me how old I am!!”
Vivian: “Baby, how old are you?”
Jiaying: “29!!!”
Yeah, that was the last time I can claim to be a twenty-something.
“12:00” appeared on the microwave’s clock, shit… I am now officially “over the hill”.
Can’t really tell the difference tho, everything felt the same, I guess there is really a life after 30’s. 
Seriously tho, I would like to thank my mother, this is really a day for her. I thank her for putting up with me kicking and punching in her womb for 10 months, I thank her for enduring the hours of labor in agonizing pain, I thank her for patiently raising me throughout the years… Love ya mom!
And happy birthday to me!

As the matter of fact, the pups were born on 9/14, same birthday as Vivian’s!

Our usual crew of friends stopped by our place last night unexpectly. Knowing that I didn’t want to celebrate my BDay this year, they kept it low key. No birthday songs and no candles on the cake. I did receives nice thoughtful gifts, tasty Blackforest cake and warm hugs.

It is utterly depressing to know that officially I only have 365 more days left before that big dreadful 30 years old mark. For the longest time, I didn’t even believe life existed after 30… Crazy! I am telling you, this is crazy!
On the other front, today is definitely a day worth celebrating, say hello to Duo Forte, Inc.!
Ok, it is not exactly formed yet, but its corporate application submitted, the EIN for the entity applied, and the domain names (www.DuoForte.com & www.DuoFortes.com) secured.
Vivian and I have big plans our very first company, and the actions are already in motion…
